| Database Administrator (Karachi) Posted: Position Title: Database Administrator Age: upto 35 Years Maximum Experience 2-3 Years Job Description: - Manage database design, creation and configuration, space management and other database maintenance procedures incorporate environment - Manage Oracle database maintenance and administration - Design and manage backup and recovery procedures - Advance performance and application tuning - Plan, design, test and implement upgrades for the Databases Skills Required: - Preference to candidates with one year Oracle APPS DBA experience along with Oracle RAC exposure. - Ability to conduct performance tuning, database refreshers, reorganize, back-up / restore, capacity management, security, change management and database monitoring & notification in Oracle 8i / 10g environment. - Knowledge of Operating systems (MS-Windows, Linus and Unix) tuning and Shell scripting. - Oracle DBA as an added advantage. - Analytical and problem-solving skills, result-oriented approach and multi-tasking ability.
