Piping Foreman - Ref: Tec 04 Job description: - Responsible for supervising the overall piping installation work for the NDSQ shipbuilding projects. - Read and understand the schematic drawings of pipe systems, isometric sketches, combination drawings, construction drawings and isometric view drawings and organize the work with pipe fitting team. - Support the Pipe fitters to determine the work sequence as well as the tools needed and necessary support materials to be used. - Arrange the pressure testing's as specified in the drawings and/or in the pressure test instructions. - Supervise the pipe fitters executing the dimension controls on pipe systems and checks if all accessories and fittings in the pipe system are mounted (valves, temperature sensors, pressure sensors, etc). Requisites - Minimum Educated to the Diploma level in related scheme. - Vocational training as pipe fitter and additional training for SMAW, GMAW, SAW, STAW and autogenously welding would be desirable. - Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in a shipbuilding project is required. - Must be able to read blueprints, lay-out, assembling, installing, and maintaining pipe systems/supports for vessels. - Hands on experience in Installing and maintaining piping systems; including: compressors, pumps, meters, pneumatic and hydraulic controls, and piping, using hand tools and power tools, and following specifications and blueprints. Electrician - Facilities & Maintenance - Ref :Tec 05 Job description: - Responsible for repairs and maintenance of electrical systems in the shipyard. - Maintenance electricians spend much of their time in preventive maintenance. - Periodically inspect equipment, and locate and correct problems before breakdowns occur. - Advice maintenance manager on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous. - Install new electrical equipment if required. - Must make the necessary repairs as quickly as possible in case of a break down in order to minimize the down time. - Replace items such as circuit breakers, fuses, switches, electrical and electronic components, or wire. - When working with complex electronic devices, may work with engineers for tracing of defects and solving of the malfunctions in electrical systems. - Maintaining records of all electrical inventories and placing orders for spare parts and equipments. Requisites - Vocational training as electrician. - Minimum 5-7 years experience as electrician in a shipyard. - Experience with and knowledge of work methods, standards for electrical installation, electrical installation tools, measuring techniques etc. - Good understanding of electrical installation drawings and connecting instructions of electrical equipment suppliers and subcontractors.
