| Posted: Walton Cantt: Board is looking (or an experienced dynamic IT professional who is responsible for all aspects of network administration including Data Centers, desktop systems, communications, hardware and workflow based software modules. Duties and Responsibilities: Network administration (including backup, security management, user account management, e-mail systems including e-mail web server, internet access, office systems and applications support). -Responsible for devising security and usage policies regarding newly built software system of ML&C. - Responsible for ensuring availability, support and performance of Workflow based system build in ASRNet, Microsoft SharePoint and SQL Server technologies. - To proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime. - Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the system/data bases to include rollout and upgrades. Education: At-least 4 years BS/MS in Computer Sciences/Software Engineering from HEC recognized university (local or abroad), supplemented with one or more International Certifications/Trainings in Project Management/ Data Center Management. Experience: Considerable (10 years) and current experience as an Administrator/Manager on a large scale network of servers, desktop systems a communications devices using required technologies. At least 1 year experience of developing/managing of a Data Center site is a must. skills/Attributes Required: In depth SQL Server Database Administration experience of managing multiple MS SQL2008 R2 RDBMS on large systems. - Demonstrated knowledge of Windows 2000 Server. Active Directory Services and desktop products. - Demonstrated ability to administer a 500+ node network including physical firewalls. - Must have a working experience on ASP. NET and Microsoft Share Point. - Practical experience in managing the internal and external MS SOL database security. - Ability to negotiate hardware/software service and technical support contracts with vendors. - Ability to manage multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously.Must be able to give orientation and training of new staff. Duration: 1 year on contract basis Place of posting: HQ Military Lands and Cantonments, Pak Secretariat II Rawalpindi. Package: Negotiable as per experience and qualification of candidate.
