HVAC Applications Engineer (Dubai)

For our Middle East operations, we require an Applications Engineer to be based in Dubai. The Requirements are - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited four-year engineering program - 2 years experience in the review of customer specifications, design and selection of electromechanical systems preferably in packaged rotating equipment, power generation, commercial / industrial cooling / heating - Experienced in the analysis of compliance with ASME, IEC, NEC, NFPA and other relevant codes The Applications Engineer position will be responsible for the sizing and selection of mechanical equipment such as chillers, cooling towers, pumps, motors, heat exchangers, control systems, basic instrumentation, etc., reviewing customer specifications, making technical recommendations for proposals, compiling and documenting project specification comments & exceptions. The position will report to the Proposals Manager and will interface with Salesmen, Electrical & Controls Engineers, and Project Managers to help develop formalized proposals and execute projects. Electrical Protection Engineer (UAE)

An International Firm of Consulting Engineers urgently requires: Electrical Protection Engineer 7-10 years minimum practical experience in HV substation projects Specific requirements: Should have profound theoretical knowledge of and experience in: - Testing and commissioning of protection schemes with special focus on distance, line differential and busbar protection relays, etc. - Preferably having experience in the UAE (DEWA, FEWA or TRANSCO) to supervise and witness the testing activities at various sites. - Liaising with all other discipline engineers, client's engineers & office management. General requirements for the above positions: 1. Fluency in English - written and spoken and computer literacy (MS Office package). 2.
