| Posted: Chief Accountant Northern Emirates We seek to appoint an experienced Accountant to take on a senior Accounts & Finance leadership role, whose primary focus will be the responsibility for the Finance/Administration function within a group of companies. Reporting to the Group General Manager & Board of Directors, your responsibilities at a Marco level will be to supervise and control the accounts team/departments across the group, manage and maintain the ERP System and assist the senior management team with formulating strategy. This is a hands-on role, requiring the successful applicant to get involved in all aspects of the business, drive forward change, develop processes and deliver results. With a relatively small team, you will ensure that all reporting and accounting objectives are met including cash flow forecasting and balance sheet management on both a daily and monthly basis. Other key responsibilities will involve: - Reviewing the monthly reporting processes (MIS) and ensuring this is delivered in a timely and accurate manner - Managing the budget and forecasting process - Overseeing the implementation of new accounting system and ensuring the smooth operation and development of reporting - Providing statutory accounts and monthly results and ensuring that reports follow local, national and international requirements with variances explained - Monitoring, controlling and reviewing account reconciliations on a monthly basis and the preparation of the monthly balance sheet . - Monitoring all receivable, payable and payroll functions - Liaising with regulatory bodies and external auditors - Implementing consistent account policies and procedures - Ensuring the sound internal control across the group You should possess the following: - Natural leadership, communication, presentation, analytical, problem solving and development skills - Knowledge of accounting and finance principles - Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy - Qualification to Degree standard from a recognised University - High proficiency in MS Office - Current driving license Candidate should be a qualified Accountant with 3 years experience within the Big Four audit firms, minimum 10 years post qualification experience out of which 5 years should have been served in the UAE. ERP system implementation experience is essential. Remuneration package will be commensurate with experience.
