| General Manager/Country Manager (Kuwait) Posted: General Manager/ Country Manager Reference: FMCGRK103-01 A leading MNC into catering and facilities management having over 380,000 employees in 80 countries around the world is seeking to hire a professional for the role of General Manager. Reporting to the VP - Middle East - GCC. Job Description - Contribute to the definition of development strategies and prepare the plan of execution. - Achieve economic and qualitative objectives. - Define objective for management team and delegate responsibilities among heads of departments. - Closely monitor the business development efforts and contribute to the identification of commercial opportunities. - Maintain good relations with current clients, follow up recruitment and training activities. - Ensure the company standards are met both in contract compliance as well as in hygiene, health & safety. Background - Degree qualified, minimum 8 years proven experience. - Previous experience in managing a company (over 500 staff and/or turnover of US$ 40M). - Excellent knowledge and analysis of figures and the ability to easily construct P&L models for small and large projects as well as a pool of linked projects. - Strong communication skills. Ability to face clients from different cultures origins. - Knowledge of oil & gas and petrochemical industries and supply chain a plus. - Knowledge of Middle East and/or Asian and/or emerging country environment is an advantage. - Ability to deal with government institutions. Skills - Excellent interpersonal, communication (in English), presentation and negotiation skills. - Team leadership and management experience. - Arab nationals/ Westerners preferred. Salary AED 20,000 + Benefits include medical insurance for self and family, family status, children's education, fully furnished accommodation and 54 days paid vacation.
