| Air Quality Monitoring Network Manager (Abu Dhabi) Posted: Air Quality Monitoring Network Manager NILU-Abu Dhabi is operating a network of ten fixed and two mobile air quality monitoring stations, on behalf of the Environment Agency-Abu Dhabi (EAD). The air quality operations include field activities such as regular site visits, preventive maintenance, calibrations, service and repairs as well as data treatment activities such as data collection, data validation and reporting. The Air Quality Monitoring Team, consisting of four Engineers and one Technician, is responsible for all activities related to the operation and maintenance of the air quality network. NILU-Abu Dhabi is expanding the air quality activities and is looking for an enthusiastic, highly qualified Manager and Team Builder for the Air Quality Monitoring Team. The Monitoring Network Manager is part of the Management Team and reports to NILU-Abu Dhabi Branch Manager. Work Areas and Responsibilities: - Responsible for the air quality monitoring network operations. - Coordination of all monitoring network activities. - Purchase of equipment, spare parts, consumables, tools, etc. - Perform and provide guidance to operators on preventive maintenance, calibrations, service and repairs. - Installation & rig-up of new stations. - Develop and improve work methods. - Maintain and improve the NILU Quality System. - Assess equipment and propose upgrades, improvements, etc. The successful candidate should have: - Minimum 10 years experience in operating air quality monitoring equipment. - Good knowledge of air quality monitoring principles and instrumentation. - Management and organizational skills - Good communication skills. - Ability to work in an international and multi-cultural environment. - Extensive experience of quality systems and ISO 17025. - Excellent knowledge of English as working language, knowledge of Arabic is a plus. - Minimum Master Degree in Chemistry, Physics or Environmental Technology, etc. Please send CV, within three weeks, to E-mail: uae@nilu.no OR Fax: 02-4450083
