| Operations Manager - Freight Forwarding (Doha) Posted: A leading European Freight Forwarding company based in Qatar is looking for a Operations Manager to join their expanding Qatar team. The Operations Manager department requires a great deal of co-ordination and organization to manage the activities of freight forwarders (operators) and the entire export/import department but also to engage in temporary projects that require logistic support and co-ordination during complicated work activities. The main purpose of the position is to run the daily activities of the department, plan for future project operations, and to coordinate freight forwarding activities. The Operations Manager reports directly to the MD, adhering to local regulations and practice. Maintain relationships with overseas agents, airlines and customers Management and training of staff towards maximum performance and job satisfaction The ideal candidate must have experience working on a multiple projects, ideally project Forwarding within the Industrial sector. In addition to this you will be required to have a minimum 8-10 years experience in international freight forwarding activities for a variety of client types, particularly in freight management/ projects/ logistics/ supply chain functions. Had previous use of embedded software programmes such as Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Access, Project. And familiarity with and understanding of International Commercial Terms (Incoterms).
