1. JOB DETAILS: Position Title: IT engineer Reports to: Administration Manager Department: Administration Grade: L2 2. JOB PURPOSE: - Manage all IT activities. - Development of the short and long term IT strategy for the plant and development of capable staff to support that strategy. - Day to day plant efficient management of IT activities, according to good utility practice, company rules and procedures, legal, contractual and other requirements - Establish the appropriate procedures and management processes as applicable to a prudent IT management. - Coordinate IT activities with operation, maintenance, administration, and HSE departments - Define, manage and monitor the IT budget in line with the overall company budget 3. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: - Coordinates all IT activities safely and efficiently, according to good utility practice, company rules and procedures, legal, contractual and other requirements - Development and implementation of a long term IT strategy; - Designing, installing and testing the IT systems required for the operational requirement of the business including the CCTV and Access Control systems for site physical security. - Ensure reliability, availability and security of IT systems through adequate systems and controls - Providing technical support to IT users - Maintaining the telecom system (excluding plant based public addressing systems) - Establishes and administers the IT strategy processes through a computerized management program; - Determines and schedules the resources and requirements for each activity; - Reviews, implements and monitors the adherence to IT Methods and Procedures; - Development, achievement and reporting of KPI's and objectives in line with the Business Plan; - Efficient management of resources, supplies and consumables - Takes a lead role in implementing performance management processes within the team. - Establish and implement vertical/horizontal communication within the team to ensure members are well informed and remain engaged with the business. - Adherence to Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies and standards - Implementation of Procedures, documentation, drawings and manuals management - Maintaining high standards of management, ethics and leadership - Establish and facilitate training programs for individual development and operational competence - Implements lessons learned processes and other activities to achieve a learning organization; - Communication and cooperation with the Administration, Operation, Maintenance, Finance and HSE teams - Supervises use and auditing of the Site Quality Assurance; - Responsible for budget expense/capital planning and control of the administration dept; - Prepares specifications, plans and administers Third Party Audits and other support contracts; - Works closely with outside inspection and overhaul contractors and provides them with all the necessary support; 6.
