| Chief Operating Officer (Islamabad) Posted: Large electric generation units in Pakistan are looking for highly experienced Chief Operating Officers to lead the organizations. Positions will be based in Pakistan. Compensation package will be market-based as prevalent in the corporate sector; the maximum age limit of the candidates is 50 years. Chief Operating Officer Job Profile: The COO shall be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the power generation plants; he shall be responsible for operations and maintenance of plant equipment; safety, training; and well-being of the work force; performance of the plant in terms of efficiency, output, reliability and O&M costs; establishing budgets and schedules for preventive and repair maintenance and outages; management of programs to motivate and incentivize employees; producing reports on performance and activities; setting standards; investigating and correcting the causes of failures; developing and enforcing procedures for proper operation and maintenance; and setting goals and objectives. Qualifications: The candidate must have a professional degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 15 years experience in electric power generation. The candidates must be skilled in maintenance philosophy, theory and techniques; operational processes; and capital/ asset management philosophy; employee motivation; and continuous improvement techniques.
